Commercial Manager Europe

Reporting into the CCO, the Commercial Manager Europe (CME) is responsible for all the sales activities in the European region. Heading the teams that manage the florist-, grower- and e-commerce channel, the CME will be managing the large retail accounts her- or himself. Together with the CCO and category managers, the CME will develop strategic and operational plans and will ensure successful roll-outs. The CME will be managing a team of Sales Managers and Technical Consultants in Europe.

What needs to be done?

The general goal is clear; optimizing resources allocation to obtain healthy growth and profitable margins. In order to get there, you ensure the right sales force is in place with the right technical support, in numbers- as in quality of the people. All this of course with proper development of the e-commerce channel. Next to this, a network of distributors, in non-direct countries, needs to be maintained, trained and motivated to be commercially successful ambassadors of the company. Further responsibilities include pricing, CRM and customer relations.

The Commercial Manager Europe defines a business plan and account plans for the retail channel and supervises the creation of similar plans for both the florist and grower channel. From this the consolidated annual budget is made which has to be approved by the MT.

  • You bring successful commercial experience and you know how to make teams flourish
  • Your strategic skills are well developed and you have no difficulties in communicating your view on the market and how to stay ahead of any competition or trend
  • Your networking and relational skills, in- and outside the company, ensures the ‘buy in’ of decision makers, your customers, your peers (US & APAC)
