Introduction
Our client, Vital Scientific, is a new name with a rich history of successful product introductions. Recently spun off from a larger structure, the company is now an independent company building an international presence in the meaningful field of Diagnostics. Establishing the headquarters and finance function is a critical task, and we’re looking for a talented and dynamic
Group Finance Manager
to be the CFO’s ‘right hand.’ If you’re passionate about numbers and thrive in dynamic environments, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Organization
As the Group Finance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of financial operations, handling a challenging mix of responsibilities. You’ll prepare monthly consolidated financial statements for the group (2-3 entities) and board reporting, drive cashflow forecasting (really important!), while also leading projects and shaping the financial strategy of the company. Your role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and reporting quality. You’ll support business initiatives, drive process improvements, and contribute to BI implementation. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you’ll be a key sparring partner in the finance team.
Function
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance Management: Coordinate month-end closures, consolidation activities, Cashflow forecasting and contribute to budgeting and business control.
- Financial Controlling: Ensure strict financial control across the group entities.
- Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate consolidated monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Working Capital.
- KPI Development: Assist in designing and implementing group KPIs.
- Year-End Reporting: Support the preparation of year-end group and statutory reports in the Netherlands and France, manage Transfer Pricing and audit activities alongside the Head of Accounting and prepare board presentations.
- Process Improvements: Lead various projects, including Business Intelligence (BI) implementation, and drive process improvements across the finance function.
Requirements
We seek a candidate who loves the story that numbers tell so you’ll probably be RA or CPA certified. You should have a strong grasp of finance and accounting principles, combined with hands-on experience in financial consolidation, cashflow forecast and reporting. The ability to lead projects and implement process improvements is essential, as is experience in a multinational environment. If you’re ready to make a significant impact in a growing company, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company with a rich legacy and an exciting future. If you’re ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and operations, apply today to become a key player at Vital Scientific.
We look forward to exploring how your skills and experience can contribute to the success of Vital Scientific!
